One Piece: Top 5 favourite movies of Chopper of the Strawhat Pirates

INTRODUCTION

Hello everyone! It’s been a while since I wrote in this section and I’m very happy to be back here; it might not be my favorite section in this blog, but it brings me great joy. It serves as a break from the other posts, and I’m a big fan of writing in it. Today, as you can probably tell from the title, I’ll talk about the 5 favorite movies that I think Tony Tony Chopper from the Straw Hat Pirates would enjoy quite freely. Without further ado, let’s dive straight into the list.

5. ROBOCOP

At number 5, we have “RoboCop,” a classic movie featuring a cop who transforms into a robot. The reason Chopper would love this film is straightforward. Throughout the One Piece series, we’ve seen Chopper getting excited about things related to technology, robots, and weapons. “RoboCop” combines all these elements, making it easily one of Tony Tony Chopper’s favorite movies.

4. PATCH ADAMS

In the 4th position, we have a medically themed movie that you might not be familiar with, “Patch Adams.” The protagonist, Patch Adams, believes in unconventional methods of healing, emphasizing the importance of patients’ happiness. This would resonate with Chopper, as it reminds him of his mentor, Dr. Hiluluk, who was also unconventional in the medical community.

3. BAMBI

Taking the 3rd spot, considering Chopper’s youthful character, it makes sense that most of his favorite movies would be animated. Enter “Bambi,” the story of a young deer who lost his mother to a hunter. Chopper would easily identify with Bambi, as both are similar creatures. Additionally, it would remind him of the early years when he ate the Human-Human Fruit and humans hunted him.

2. FROZEN

In the 2nd position, we have “Frozen.” While my initial thought was to place “The Lion King” as Chopper’s favorite, the plot of “Frozen” with its icy setting resembling Chopper’s homeplace, Drum Kingdom gave it the edge. The story about reclaiming a kingdom would match the story of Drum Kingdom and how the evil tyrant, Wapol was persecuted by his own people, while the emotional moments in the movie would hit Chopper hard.

1. PINNOCHIO

Finally, in the 1st position, we have “Pinocchio,” a touching father-son story. Chopper could relate to Pinocchio as both characters didn’t start as humans. The distinctive noses of both characters would also draw a parallel. The sacrifices made by Geppetto, Pinocchio’s adoptive father, would remind Chopper of the sacrifices made by his mentor, Dr. Hiluluk.

I don’t know about you, but I believe this movie fits Chopper the best, despite not having a medical theme, thanks to the significant parallels and sacrifices shared by both characters.

Conclusion

And with that being said, my post is coming to an end. Thank you for your time.

P.s. I want to thank my good friend d.reamart for the amazing artwork of Chopper.
